ANGLOS from other cities or regions of the USA have a hell of time trying to identify who is Anglo and who is not in Hialeah. Old Cuban ladies are the most difficult ones to tell apart from their Anglo counterparts. Middle age men are the easiest; they are promoters of every Cuban cliché ever. There is a lot of blonds and blondes in HIaleah. In many occasion I have seen an Anglo going to a blue-cashier because he or she thinks is an Anglo, or even to a black person thinking he is an African American while the guy or girl is Cuban or Dominican. The caricatures on the left have been drawn inspired by the interesting characters that frequent Publix Sabor in Hialeah.

On the other hand, younger people mix styles, blending Latin and Anglo tastes. English is already getting a special accent in South Florida, which is not a "foreign" accent, but a mixture of pronunciation and vocabulary, sort of like a Miami Brooklynese.
